Osu Moments – Experimenting

I hate Instagram. But sometimes there are places and moments where that cheesy old look feels… necessary. Osu Kannon in Nagoya is one of those places. These shots were taken with a $30 plastic Holga lens adapted with a Nikon F-mount:

The Holga lens is really cheap and plasticky and hard to work with – really harks back to the days when photography in the hands of amateurs was a hit-and-miss affair. Well… it still kinda is for me 🙂

Here are two photos that I’ve edited with an Instagram filter for Photoshop:

Somehow the look seemed suitable. What do you think?
